In a glimpse to the outside world and how it works, a talk on ‘Johor Darul Ta’zim Community Engagement’ and the marketing strategies of Johor Football Association was given to the 3rd and 4th year student from the Bachelor of Arts in Marketing Management by Johor Southern Tigers S/B Chief Marketing officer Mr Ayani Ismail yesterday. A second subject was given by the media production officer of JST S/B, Mr Raja Fouzeel Akmal Raja Zainal on ‘New Media (Web TV) vs Conventional Broadcasting’.
These are great subjects and exposure to the aspiring future marketeers in term of modern marketing and its tools. Some points disclosed were on Southern Tigers community engagement, branding, product development and the commercial side of running a football club. According to the programme coordinator Puan Siti Zaleha, “This is an on going programme with which all students from various courses and faculty throughout UTM are to engage with related external parties and industries. This would prove advantageous to students and expose them with the hands on experience and practise in their related course”. The talks were followed by a QnA session.
It was attended by almost 120 students set in the auditorium of the Faculty of Management, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai. And what is Marketing without sales? The occasion goes in tandem with our sales team to sell Southern Tigers products and merchandise displayed at the faculty’s foyer.
