The 2013 AFAP Conference on Business and Management will be held at UTM Training Centre, on 2nd and 3rd January, 2013. The conference, which is managed by the Asian Fellowship of Academic Professionals (AFAP) and supported by the Management Department of Faculty of Management and Human Resource Development (FPPSM), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, aims to provide a venue for academic discourse among the participants.

Topics related to all business and Management fields i.e. Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, Leadership, Organizational Behavior and Theory, Management Information System, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Total Quality Management, Time Management, Entrepreneurship, International Businesses, Marketing Strategies, Service Marketing, Sales Management, Marketing Theory and Applications, Marketing Research and Strategy, Advertising, Product Development, Consumer Behavior, Tourism, Finance, Corporate Finance, Financial Economics, Investment, Portfolio Management, Accounting, Risk Management, Cost Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Econometrics, Economic Theory, Business Development, Corporate Governance, Public Administration, Business Ethics, Empirical Business Research and Business Studies are invited for submission by students and academics.

The official language, for both submissions and presentations, is English. Format of articles which are not more than eight (8) pages for submission, should be based on the following website: http://www.penerbit.utm.my/cgi-bin/panduanpenulisan/ppenulisan.cgi?id=instructions_to_authors.

Authors should send full paper in MS WORD as an e-mail attachment to This email address is being protected from spambots. Paper must be submitted as Word documents and contain a title of the submission, name and affiliation of the author(s), contact information (Education, Academic Experience, Full address, Telephone & E-mail) and the appropriate field. If more than two authors are listed, please identify the one who will make the presentation at the conference. Submissions are limited to one paper per primary author.

A registration fee of RM450.00 (early bird) is required to reach our office before the deadline (17 December, 2012) in order to be officially registered for the conference. Payments can be made by money orders or postal order payable to Unit Perkhidmatan Pengurusan, Faculty of Management and Human Resource Development, UTM or by bank transfer to 01180000845051 (CIMB UTM Skudai Branch). Papers accepted for presentation will be published as a SPECIAL EDITION of "2013 AFAP Conference on Business and Management" (ACBM 2013) in Jurnal Teknologi which is indexed by Scopus (refer http://www.penerbit.utm.my/cgi-bin/jurnal/jurnal.cgi)

Submission of Paper: 1 November - 7 December, 2012
Acceptance/Revision Notification: within 7 days after submission
Payment of Registration Fee: On or before 17 December, 2012 (early bird)
Conference Date: 2nd and 3rd January, 2012

All conference participants must pay the registration fee. For each paper/abstract, at least one author must attend and pay the registration fee. The registration fee is:

  • Early-bird Registration Fee (on or before December 17th, 2012): RM450
  • Late Registration Fee (after December 17th, 2012): RM 550

Notes:

  1. The registration fee includes: conference attendance, daily tea breaks, lunch, certificate of attendance and electronic copy of the conference proceedings.
  2. If your paper is multi-authored and more than one author will attend the conference, each attending author needs to register separately and pay individual registration fee separately.
  3. The above registration fee does NOT include hotel accommodation and transport.
